(1) Hajj is [during] well-known months, so whoever has made Hajj obligatory upon himself therein [by entering the state of ihram], there is [to be for him] no sexual relations and no disobedience and no disputing during Hajj. And whatever good you do - Allah knows it. And take provisions, but indeed, the best provision is fear of Allah. And fear Me, O you of understanding.

(2) And Allah had certainly fulfilled His promise to you when you were killing the enemy by His permission until [the time] when you lost courage and fell to disputing about the order [given by the Prophet] and disobeyed after He had shown you that which you love. Among you are some who desire this world, and among you are some who desire the Hereafter. Then he turned you back from them [defeated] that He might test you. And He has already forgiven you, and Allah is the possessor of bounty for the believers.

(3) They said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing,

(4) On the Day when every soul will come disputing for itself, and every soul will be fully compensated for what it did, and they will not be wronged.

(5) They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing.

(6) I had no knowledge of the exalted assembly [of angels] when they were disputing [the creation of Adam].
