(1272) And those who were given the Book did not become divided except after clear evidence had come to them.

(1273) Their reward with their Lord is gardens of perpetuity beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein for ever; Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him; that is for him who fears his Lord.

(1274) When the earth is shaken with her (violent) shaking,

(1275) And the earth brings forth her burdens,

(1276) I swear by the runners breathing pantingly,

(1277) I swear by the time,

(1278) Which rises above the hearts.

(1279) Who feeds them against hunger and gives them security against fear.

(1280) His wealth and what he earns will not avail him.
