(3) Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers?

(4) We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before; this is not but legends of the former peoples."

(5) [Moses] said, "Your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers."

(6) You and your ancient forefathers?

(7) And those who disbelieve say, "When we have become dust as well as our forefathers, will we indeed be brought out [of the graves]?

(8) We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before. This is not but legends of the former peoples."

(9) But when Moses came to them with Our signs as clear evidences, they said, "This is not except invented magic, and we have not heard of this [religion] among our forefathers."

(10) That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware.
