(11) We divided them into twelve tribes or nations. (13) "Enough is Allah for a witness between us and you: we certainly knew nothing of your worship of us!"

(14) Such are some of the stories of the unseen, which We have revealed unto thee: before this, neither thou nor thy people knew them. So persevere patiently: for the End is for those who are righteous.

(15) We do relate unto thee the most beautiful of stories, in that We reveal to thee this (portion of the) Qur'an: before this, thou too was among those who knew it not.

(16) Then came Joseph's brethren: they entered his presence, and he knew them, but they knew him not.

(17) It is He Who brought you forth from the wombs of your mothers when ye knew nothing; and He gave you hearing and sight and intelligence and affections: that ye may give thanks (to Allah).

(18) Nor sell the covenant of Allah for a miserable price: for with Allah is (a prize) far better for you, if ye only knew.

(19) If only the Unbelievers knew (the time) when they will not be able to ward off the fire from their faces, nor yet from their backs, and (when) no help can reach them!

(20) Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)?
