And they were covered with humiliation and poverty and returned with anger from Allah [upon them]. That was because they [repeatedly] disbelieved in the signs of Allah and killed the prophets without right. That was because they disobeyed and were [habitually] transgressing.

(2) And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an.

(3) And We have [repeatedly] conveyed to them the Qur'an that they might be reminded.

(4) Be patient over what they say and remember Our servant, David, the possessor of strength; indeed, he was one who repeatedly turned back [to Allah].

(5) And to David We gave Solomon. An excellent servant, indeed he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah].

(6) [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah].
