(404) (It will be said): "Groan not in supplication this day: for ye shall certainly not be helped by Us.

(405) On the contrary they say things similar to what the ancients said.

(406) Behold, ye received it on your tongues, and said out of your mouths things of which ye had no knowledge; and ye thought it to be a light matter, while it was most serious in the sight of Allah.

(407) When it is said to them, "Prostrate to (Allah) Most Gracious!", they say, "And what is (Allah) Most Gracious? Shall we prostrate to that which thou commandest us?" And it increases their flight (from the Truth).

(408) He said: "O my Lord! I do fear that they will charge me with falsehood:

(409) Allah said: "By no means! proceed then, both of you, with Our Signs; We are with you, and will listen (to your call).

(410) (Pharaoh) said: "Did we not cherish thee as a child among us, and didst thou not stay in our midst many years of thy life?
