(12) It is not their meat nor their blood, that reaches Allah: it is your piety that reaches Him: He has thus made them subject to you, that ye may glorify Allah for His Guidance to you and proclaim the good news to all who do right.

(13) When Our Messengers came to Abraham with the good news, they said: "We are indeed going to destroy the people of this township: for truly they are (addicted to) crime."

(14) They think that the Confederates have not withdrawn; and if the Confederates should come (again), they would wish they were in the deserts (wandering) among the Bedouins, and seeking news about you (from a safe distance); and if they were in your midst, they would fight but little.

(15) So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear.

(16) And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous.

(17) Those who eschew Evil,- and fall not into its worship,- and turn to Allah (in repentance),- for them is Good news: so announce the Good news to My Servants,-

(18) Giving good news and admonition: yet most of them turn away, and so they hear not.

(19) When news is brought to one of them of (the birth of) what he sets up as a likeness to (Allah) Most Gracious, his face darkens, and he is filled with inward grief!

(20) O ye who believe! If a wicked person comes to you with any news, ascertain the truth, lest ye harm people unwittingly, and afterwards become full of repentance for what ye have done.
