(21) [Musa (Moses)] said: "If I ask you anything after this, keep me not in your company, you have received an excuse from me."

(22) None shall have the power of intercession, but such a one as has received permission (or promise) from the Most Gracious (Allah).

(23) And perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakat and obey the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) that you may receive mercy (from Allah).

(24) And those who invoke not any other ilah (god) along with Allah, nor kill such person as Allah has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse - and whoever does this shall receive the punishment.

(25) So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you should be among those who receive punishment.

(26) He said: "O my people! Why do you seek to hasten the evil (torment) before the good (Allah's Mercy)? Why seek you not the Forgiveness of Allah, that you may receive mercy?"

(27) And that I should recite the Qur'an, then whosoever receives guidance, receives it for the good of his ownself; and whosoever goes astray, say (to him): "I am only one of the warners."

(28) And to establish them in the land, and We let Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Haman and their hosts receive from them that which they feared.

(29) And indeed We gave Musa (Moses) - after We had destroyed the generations of old -the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)] as an enlightenment for mankind, and a guidance and a mercy, that they might remember (or receive admonition).

(30) And you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) were not at the side of the Tur (Mount) when We did call: [it is said that Allah called the followers of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, and they answered His Call, or that Allah called Musa (Moses)]. But (you are sent) as a mercy from your Lord, to give warning to a people to whom no warner had come before you: in order that they may remember or receive admonition. [Tafsir At-Tabari].
