Thus was made alluring, in Pharaoh's eyes, the evil of his deeds, and he was hindered from the Path; and the plot of Pharaoh led to nothing but perdition (for him).

(82) Then Allah saved him from (every) ill that they plotted (against him), but the burnt of the Penalty encompassed on all sides the People of Pharaoh.

(83) In front of the Fire will they be brought, morning and evening: And (the sentence will be) on the Day that Judgment will be established: "Cast ye the People of Pharaoh into the severest Penalty!"

(84) We did send Moses aforetime, with Our Signs, to Pharaoh and his Chiefs: He said, "I am a messenger of the Lord of the Worlds."

(85) And Pharaoh proclaimed among his people, saying: "O my people! Does not the dominion of Egypt belong to me, (witness) these streams flowing underneath my (palace)? What! see ye not then?

(86) We did, before them, try the people of Pharaoh: there came to them a messenger most honourable,

(87) Inflicted by Pharaoh, for he was arrogant (even) among inordinate transgressors.

(88) The 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut,

(89) And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest.

(90) But (Pharaoh) turned back with his Chiefs, and said, "A sorcerer, or one possessed!"
