(23) A Sign for them is the earth that is dead: We do give it life, and produce grain therefrom, of which ye do eat.

(24) And a Sign for them is the Night: We withdraw therefrom the Day, and behold they are plunged in darkness;

(25) Not a Sign comes to them from among the Signs of their Lord, but they turn away therefrom.

(26) Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom.

(27) Is, then, one who has to fear the brunt of the Penalty on the Day of Judgment (and receive it) on his face, (like one guarded therefrom)? It will be said to the wrong-doers: "Taste ye (the fruits of) what ye earned!"

(28) No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication:

(29) They say, "If we return to Medina, surely the more honourable (element) will expel therefrom the meaner." But honour belongs to Allah and His Messenger, and to the Believers; but the Hypocrites know not.

(30) He draweth out therefrom its moisture and its pasture;
