(3) And when Moses returned to his people, angry and grieved, he said, "How wretched is that by which you have replaced me after [my departure]. Were you impatient over the matter of your Lord?" And he threw down the tablets and seized his brother by [the hair of] his head, pulling him toward him. [Aaron] said, "O son of my mother, indeed the people oppressed me and were about to kill me, so let not the enemies rejoice over me and do not place me among the wrongdoing people."

(4) Say, "Have you considered: if His punishment should come to you by night or by day - for which [aspect] of it would the criminals be impatient?"

(5) Then is it that when it has [actually] occurred you will believe in it? Now? And you were [once] for it impatient

(6) They impatiently urge you to bring about evil before good, while there has already occurred before them similar punishments [to what they demand]. And indeed, your Lord is full of forgiveness for the people despite their wrongdoing, and indeed, your Lord is severe in penalty.

(7) The command of Allah is coming, so be not impatient for it. Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.

(8) So be not impatient over them. We only count out to them a [limited] number.

(9) Man was created of haste. I will show you My signs, so do not impatiently urge Me.

(10) So for Our punishment are they impatient?
