(701) O Prophet! When ye do divorce women, divorce them at their prescribed periods, and count (accurately), their prescribed periods: And fear Allah your Lord: and turn them not out of their houses, nor shall they (themselves) leave, except in case they are guilty of some open lewdness, those are limits set by Allah: and any who transgresses the limits of Allah, does verily wrong his (own) soul: thou knowest not if perchance Allah will bring about thereafter some new situation.

(702) O Prophet! Why holdest thou to be forbidden that which Allah has made lawful to thee? thou seekest to please thy consorts. But Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(703) O ye who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance: In the hope that your Lord will remove from you your ills and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow,- the Day that Allah will not permit to be humiliated the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their Light will run forward before them and by their right hands, while they say, "Our Lord! Perfect our Light for us, and grant us Forgiveness: for thou hast power over all things."

(704) He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw?

(705) thou art not, by the Grace of thy Lord, mad or possessed.

(706) And thou (standest) on an exalted standard of character.

(707) Soon wilt thou see, and they will see,

(708) Their desire is that thou shouldst be pliant: so would they be pliant.

(709) Ask thou of them, which of them will stand surety for that!

(710) Or is it that thou dost ask them for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?-
