(31) And when We said to the angels: Make obeisance to Adam, they made obeisance, but Iblis (did it not); he refused.

(33) So We responded to him and gave him Yahya and made his wife fit for him; surely they used to hasten, one with another In deeds of goodness and to call upon Us, hoping and fearing and they were humble before Us.

(34) O people! if you are in doubt about the raising, then surely We created you from dust, then from a small seed, then from a clot, then from a lump of flesh, complete in make and incomplete, that We may make clear to you; and We cause what We please to stay in the wombs till an appointed time, then We bring you forth as babies, then that you may attain your maturity; and of you is he who is caused to die, and of you is he who is brought back to the worst part of life, so that after having knowledge he does not know anything; and you see the earth sterile land, but when We send down on it the water, it stirs and swells and brings forth of every kind a beautiful herbage.

(35) Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators.

(36) My communications were indeed recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels,

(37) Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them.

(38) But you took them for a mockery until they made you forget My remembrance and you used to laugh at them.

(39) Do they not see the earth, how many of every noble kind We have caused to grow in it?

(40) And it shall be said to them: Where are those that you used to worship;
