(14) And We rescued him and Lut (lot) to the land which We have blessed for the 'Alamin (mankind and jinn).

(15) And (remember) Lut (lot), We gave him Hukm (right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood) and (religious) knowledge, and We saved him from the town (folk) who practised Al-Khaba'ith (evil, wicked and filthy deeds). Verily, they were a people given to evil, and were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).

(16) And the people of Ibrahim (Abraham) and the people of Lut (lot),

(17) And indeed they have passed by the town [of Prophet Lut (lot)] on which was rained the evil rain. Did they (disbelievers) not then see it (with their own eyes)? Nay! But they used not to expect any resurrection.

(18) The people of Lut (lot) (-who dwelt in the town of Sodom in Palestine) belied the Messengers.

(19) When their brother Lut (lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him?

(20) They said: "If you cease not O Lut (lot)! verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!"
