(1) Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah, and [those animals] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death], and those which are sacrificed on stone altars, and [prohibited is] that you seek decision through divining arrows. That is grave disobedience. This day those who disbelieve have despaired of [defeating] your religion; so fear them not, but fear Me. This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

(2) And it is He who created the heavens and earth in truth. And the day He says, "Be," and it is, His word is the truth. And His is the dominion [on] the Day the horn is blown. [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed; and He is the Wise, the Acquainted.

(3) And We will leave them that day surging over each other, and [then] the horn will be blown, and We will assemble them in [one] assembly.

(4) The Day the horn will be blown. And We will gather the criminals, that Day, blue-eyed.

(5) So when the horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another.

(6) And [warn of] the Day the horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will be terrified except whom Allah wills. And all will come to Him humbled.

(7) And the horn will be blown; and at once from the graves to their Lord they will hasten.

(8) And these [disbelievers] await not but one blast [of the horn]; for it there will be no delay.

(9) And the horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will fall dead except whom Allah wills. Then it will be blown again, and at once they will be standing, looking on.

(10) And the horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat.
