(11) Whoso disbelieveth in Allah after his belief - save him who is forced thereto and whose heart is still content with the Faith - but whoso findeth ease in disbelief: On them is wrath from Allah. Theirs will be an awful doom.

(12) Allah coineth a similitude: a township that dwelt secure and well content, its provision coming to it in abundance from every side, but it disbelieved in Allah's favours, so Allah made it experience the garb of dearth and fear because of what they used to do.

(13) And verily We have displayed for mankind in this Qur'an all manner of similitudes, but man is more than anything contentious.

(14) And among mankind is he who worshippeth Allah upon a narrow marge so that if good befalleth him he is content therewith, but if a trial befalleth him, he falleth away utterly. He loseth both the world and the Hereafter. That is the sheer loss.

(15) Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years,

(16) (How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them?

(17) O Prophet! Say unto thy wives: If ye desire the world's life and its adornment, come! I will content you and will release you with a fair release.

(18) O ye who believe! If ye wed believing women and divorce them before ye have touched them, then there is no period that ye should reckon. But content them and release them handsomely.

(19) And say: Are our gods better, or is he? They raise not the objection save for argument. Nay! but they are a contentious folk.

(20) And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth;
