(171) Now the Word of our Lord hath been fulfilled concerning us. Lo! we are about to taste (the doom).

(172) How many a generation We destroyed before them, and they cried out when it was no longer the time for escape!

(173) The chiefs among them go about, exhorting: Go and be staunch to your gods! Lo! this is a thing designed.

(174) These wait for but one Shout, there will be no second thereto.

(175) And he said: Lo! I have preferred the good things (of the world) to the remembrance of my Lord; till they were taken out of sight behind the curtain.

(176) (Saying): This is Our gift, so bestow thou, or withhold, without reckoning.

(177) When thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to create a mortal out of mire,

(178) He said: Go forth from hence, for lo! thou art outcast,

(179) Say: O My bondmen who believe! Observe your duty to your Lord. For those who do good in this world there is good, and Allah's earth is spacious. Verily the steadfast will be paid their wages without stint.

(180) Those who bear the Throne, and all who are round about it, hymn the praises of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who believe (saying): Our Lord! Thou comprehendest all things in mercy and knowledge, therefor forgive those who repent and follow Thy way. Ward off from them the punishment of hell.
