(1) Then when he saw the moon rising, he said: Is this my Lord? So when it set, he said: If my Lord had not guided me I should certainly be of the erring people.

(3) Until when he reached the land of the rising of the sun, he found it rising on a people to whom We had given no shelter from It;

(4) Bear then patiently what they say, and glorify your Lord by the praising of Him before the rising of the sun and before its setting, and during hours of the night do also glorify (Him) and during parts of the day, that you may be well pleased

(5) A sustenance for the servants, and We give life thereby to a dead land; thus is the rising.

(6) Therefore be patient of what they say, and sing the praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before the setting.

(7) Surely the rising by night is the firmest way to tread and the best corrective of speech.
