He whom Allah scorneth, there is none to give him honour. Lo! Allah doeth what He will.

(12) Unto Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they scorned (them) and they were despotic folk.

(13) In scorn thereof. Nightly did ye rave together.

(14) And those who look not for a meeting with Us say: Why are angels not sent down unto us and (Why) do we not see our Lord! Assuredly they think too highly of themselves and are scornful with great pride.

(15) Turn not thy cheek in scorn toward folk, nor walk with pertness in the land. Lo! Allah loveth not each braggart boaster.

(16) Only those believe in Our revelations who, when they are reminded of them, fall down prostrate and hymn the praise of their Lord, and they are not scornful,

(17) For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornful

(18) Saving Iblis; he was scornful and became one of the disbelievers.

(19) (But now the answer will be): Nay, for My revelations came unto thee, but thou didst deny them and wast scornful and wast among the disbelievers.

(20) And on the Day of Resurrection thou (Muhammad) seest those who lied concerning Allah with their faces blackened. Is not the home of the scorners in hell?
