(11) And among His Signs is this, that He sends the winds as glad tidings, giving you a taste of His Mercy (i.e. rain), and that the ships may sail at His Command, and that you may seek of His Bounty, in order that you may be thankful.

(12) See you not that the ships sail through the sea by Allah's Grace that He may show you of His Signs? Verily, in this are signs for every patient, grateful (person).

(13) And the two seas (kinds of water) are not alike: this is palatable, sweet and pleasant to drink, and that is salt and bitter. And from them both you eat fresh tender meat (fish), and derive the ornaments that you wear. And you see the ships cleaving (the sea-water as they sail through it), that you may seek of His Bounty, and that you may give thanks.

(14) And you have (many other) benefits from them, and that you may reach by their means a desire that is in your breasts (i.e. carry your goods, loads, etc.), and on them and on ships you are carried.

(15) And among His Signs are the ships in the sea like mountains.

(16) And Who has created all the pairs and has appointed for you ships and cattle on which you ride:

(17) Allah, it is He Who has subjected to you the sea, that ships may sail through it by His Command, and that you may seek of His Bounty, and that you may be thankful.

(18) And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness.

(19) And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains.

(20) What Allah gave as booty (Fai') to His Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) from the people of the townships - it is for Allah, His Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), the kindred (of Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), the orphans, Al-Masakin (the poor), and the wayfarer, in order that it may not become a fortune used by the rich among you. And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) gives you, take it; and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it). And fear Allah; verily, Allah is Severe in punishment.
