The answer will be: "True: but the Decree of Punishment has been proved true against the Unbelievers!"

(32) The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them).

(33) And the Trumpet shall be blown: that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given).

(34) He will say: "Dispute not with each other in My Presence: I had already in advance sent you warning.

(35) We know best what they say; and thou art not one to overawe them by force. So admonish with the Qur'an such as fear My warning!

(36) They reject (the warning) and follow their (own) lusts but every matter has its appointed time.

(37) But how (terrible) was My Penalty and My warning?

(38) The 'Ad (people) (too) rejected (Truth): then how terrible was My Penalty and My warning?

(39) Yea, how (terrible) was My Penalty and My warning!

(40) Ah! how (terrible) was My Penalty and My warning!
