(42) And that He may punish the Hypocrites, men and women, and the Polytheists men and women, who imagine an evil opinion of Allah. On them is a round of Evil: the wrath of Allah is on them: He has cursed them and got Hell ready for them: and evil is it for a destination.

(43) And they even sought to snatch away his guests from him, but We blinded their eyes. (They heard:) "Now taste ye My wrath and My Warning."

(44) "So taste ye My wrath and My Warning."

(45) One Day will the Hypocrites- men and women - say to the Believers: "Wait for us! Let us borrow (a Light) from your Light!" It will be said: "Turn ye back to your rear! then seek a Light (where ye can)!" So a wall will be put up betwixt them, with a gate therein. Within it will be Mercy throughout, and without it, all alongside, will be (wrath and) Punishment!

(46) Turnest thou not thy attention to those who turn (in friendship) to such as have the wrath of Allah upon them? They are neither of you nor of them, and they swear to falsehood knowingly.

(47) It is He Who got out the Unbelievers among the People of the Book from their homes at the first gathering (of the forces). Little did ye think that they would get out: And they thought that their fortresses would defend them from Allah! But the (wrath of) Allah came to them from quarters from which they little expected (it), and cast terror into their hearts, so that they destroyed their dwellings by their own hands and the hands of the Believers, take warning, then, O ye with eyes (to see)!

(48) O ye who believe! Turn not (for friendship) to people on whom is the wrath of Allah, of the Hereafter they are already in despair, just as the Unbelievers are in despair about those (buried) in graves.

(49) Nor could any of you withhold him (from Our wrath).

(50) "We only fear a Day of distressful wrath from the side of our Lord."
