(344) But they revolted against the commandment of their Lord, so the rumbling overtook them while they saw.

(345) Thus there did not come to those before them an apostle but they said: A magician or a mad man.

(346) And (as for) those who believe and their offspring follow them in faith, We will unite with them their offspring and We will not diminish to them aught of their work; every man is responsible for what he shall have wrought.

(347) Therefore continue to remind, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer, or a madman.

(348) And manat, the third, the last?

(349) Or shall man have what he wishes?

(350) And how many an angel is there in the heavens whose intercession does not avail at all except after Allah has given permission to whom He pleases and chooses.
