(11) They said: "Have you brought us the truth, or are you one of those who play about?"

(12) "Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?"

(13) And those who do not bear witness to falsehood, and if they pass by some evil play or evil talk, they pass by it with dignity.

(14) And this life of the world is only an amusement and a play! Verily, the home of the Hereafter - that is the life indeed (i.e. the eternal life that will never end), if they but knew .

(15) And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakat and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah wishes only to remove Ar-Rijs (evil deeds and sins) from you, O members of the family (of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم), and to purify you with a thorough purification.

(16) When there were displayed before him, in the afternoon, well trained horses of the highest breed [for Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause)].

(17) Then he said "Bring them (horses) back to me." Then he began to pass his hand over their legs and their necks (till the end of the display).

(18) So leave them (alone) to speak nonsense and play until they meet the Day of theirs which they have been promised.

(19) Nay! They play about in doubt.

(20) And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play.
