(44) Then, when they saw the (Penalty in the shape of) a cloud traversing the sky, coming to meet their valleys, they said, "This cloud will give us rain!" "Nay, it is the (Calamity) ye were asking to be hastened!- A wind wherein is a Grievous Penalty!

(45) Therefore patiently persevere, as did (all) messengers of inflexible purpose; and be in no haste about the (Unbelievers). On the Day that they see the (Punishment) promised them, (it will be) as if they had not tarried more than an hour in a single day. (Thine but) to proclaim the Message: but shall any be destroyed except those who transgress?

(46) "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!"

(47) hasten ye then (at once) to Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open!

(48) For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)!

(49) hastening, with eyes transfixed, towards the Caller!- "Hard is this Day!", the Unbelievers will say.

(50) In them will be (Maidens), chaste, restraining their glances, whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;-
