(1) Or did the people of the cities feel secure from Our punishment coming to them in the morning while they were at play?

(2) And if you ask them, they will surely say, "We were only conversing and playing." Say, "Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?"

(3) Send him with us tomorrow that he may eat well and play. And indeed, we will be his guardians.

(4) And We will present Hell that Day to the Disbelievers, on display -

(5) No mention comes to them anew from their Lord except that they listen to it while they are at play

(6) And We did not create the heaven and earth and that between them in play.

(7) And women of post-menstrual age who have no desire for marriage - there is no blame upon them for putting aside their outer garments [but] not displaying adornment. But to modestly refrain [from that] is better for them. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

(8) And abide in your houses and do not display yourselves as [was] the display of the former times of ignorance. And establish prayer and give zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah intends only to remove from you the impurity [of sin], O people of the [Prophet's] household, and to purify you with [extensive] purification.

(9) And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play.
