(11) thamud (people) belied the Messengers.
(12) And indeed We sent to thamud their brother Salih, saying: "Worship Allah (Alone and none else). Then look! They became two parties (believers and disbelievers) quarreling with each other."
(13) And 'Ad and thamud (people)! And indeed (their destruction) is clearly apparent to you from their (ruined) dwellings. Shaitan (Satan) made their deeds fair-seeming to them, and turned them away from the (Right) Path, though they were intelligent.
(14) So We punished each (of them) for his sins; of them were some on whom We sent Hasib (a violent wind with shower of stones) [as on the people of Lut (Lot)], and of them were some who were overtaken by As-Saihah [torment - awful cry. (as thamud or Shu'aib's people)], and of them were some whom We caused the earth to swallow [as Qarun (Korah)], and of them were some whom We drowned [as the people of Nuh (Noah), or Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his people]. It was not Allah Who wronged them, but they wronged themselves.
(15) And thamud, and the people of Lut (Lot), and the Dwellers of the Wood: such were the Confederates.
(16) "Like the fate of the people of Nuh (Noah), and 'Ad, and thamud and those who came after them. And Allah wills no injustice for (His) slaves.
(17) But if they turn away, then say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "I have warned you of a Sa'iqah (a destructive awful cry, torment, hit, a thunderbolt) like the Sa'iqah which overtook 'Ad and thamud (people)."
(18) And as for thamud, We showed and made clear to them the Path of Truth (Islamic Monotheism) through Our Messenger, (i.e. showed them the way of success), but they preferred blindness to guidance; so the Sa'iqah (a destructive awful cry, torment, hit, a thunderbolt) of disgracing torment seized them because of what they used to earn.
(19) Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah) the people of Nuh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and thamud;
(20) And in thamud (there is also a sign), when they were told: "Enjoy yourselves for a while!"
