And whoever purifies himself does so for the benefit of his own soul; and the destination (of all) is to Allah.

(33) Say: "Have ye seen (these) 'Partners' of yours whom ye call upon besides Allah? Show Me what it is they have created in the (wide) earth. Or have they a share in the heavens? Or have We given them a Book from which they (can derive) clear (evidence)?- Nay, the wrong-doers promise each other nothing but delusions.

(34) Thou canst but admonish such a one as follows the Message and fears the (Lord) Most Gracious, unseen: give such a one, therefore, good tidings, of Forgiveness and a Reward most generous.

(35) If it had been our Will, We could surely have blotted out their eyes; then should they have run about groping for the Path, but how could they have seen?

(36) "Everything will it destroy by the command of its Lord!" Then by the morning they - nothing was to be seen but (the ruins of) their houses! thus do We recompense those given to sin!

(37) "Who feared (Allah) Most Gracious Unseen, and brought a heart turned in devotion (to Him):

(38) Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down?

(39) Have ye seen Lat. and 'Uzza,

(40) What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see?
