(211) Had We sent down this Quran on a mountain, you would certainly have seen it falling down, splitting asunder because of the fear of Allah, and We set forth these parables to men that they may reflect.

(212) And (as for) those of your women who have despaired of menstruation, if you have a doubt, their prescribed time shall be three months, and of those too who have not had their courses; and (as for) the pregnant women, their prescribed time is that they lay down their burden; and whoever is careful of (his duty to) Allah He will make easy for him his affair.

(213) Lodge them where you lodge according to your means, and do not injure them in order that you may straiten them; and if they are pregnant, spend on them until they lay down their burden; then if they suckle for you, give them their recompense and enjoin one another among you to do good; and if you disagree, another (woman) shall suckle for him.

(214) Or are you secure of those in the heaven that He should not send down upon you a punishment? Then shall you know how was My warning.

(215) Say: Have you considered if your water should go down, who is it then that will bring you flowing water?

(216) Their looks cast down, abasement shall overtake them; and they were called upon to make obeisance indeed while yet they were safe.

(217) Or have they (the knowledge of) the unseen, so that they write (it) down?

(218) Were it not that favor from his Lord had overtaken him, he would certainly have been cast down upon the naked Found while he was blamed.

(219) Their eyes cast down; disgrace shall overtake them; that is the day which they were threatened with.

(220) He will send down upon you the cloud, pouring down abundance of rain:
