(1) Those who wait [and watch] you. Then if you gain a victory from Allah, they say, "Were we not with you?" But if the disbelievers have a success, they say [to them], "Did we not gain the advantage over you, but we protected you from the believers?" Allah will judge between [all of] you on the Day of Resurrection, and never will Allah give the disbelievers over the believers a way [to overcome them].

(2) And We have protected it from every devil expelled [from the mercy of Allah]

(3) And We made the sky a protected ceiling, but they, from its signs, are turning away.

(4) Or do they have gods to defend them other than Us? They are unable [even] to help themselves, nor can they be protected from Us.

(5) And when a faction of them said, "O people of Yathrib, there is no stability for you [here], so return [home]." And a party of them asked permission of the Prophet, saying, "Indeed, our houses are unprotected," while they were not exposed. They did not intend except to flee.

(6) As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected.

(7) So Allah protected him from the evils they plotted, and the people of Pharaoh were enveloped by the worst of punishment -

(8) They will not taste death therein except the first death, and He will have protected them from the punishment of Hellfire

(9) Enjoying what their Lord has given them, and their Lord protected them from the punishment of Hellfire.

(10) There will circulate among them [servant] boys [especially] for them, as if they were pearls well-protected.
