(1) And [that they may know] that the Hour is coming - no doubt about it - and that Allah will resurrect those in the graves.

(2) And those who disbelieve say, "When we have become dust as well as our forefathers, will we indeed be brought out [of the graves]?

(3) And not equal are the living and the dead. Indeed, Allah causes to hear whom He wills, but you cannot make hear those in the graves.

(4) And the Horn will be blown; and at once from the graves to their Lord they will hasten.

(5) The Day they will hear the blast [of the Horn] in truth. That is the Day of Emergence [from the graves].

(6) Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading,

(7) O you who have believed, do not make allies of a people with whom Allah has become angry. They have despaired of [reward in] the Hereafter just as the disbelievers have despaired of [meeting] the inhabitants of the graves.

(8) The Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening.

(9) And when the [contents of] graves are scattered,
