(21) And so are strong in repelling (evil),

(22) So We destroyed (them)- stronger in power than these;- and (thus) has passed on the Parable of the peoples of old.

(23) Muhammad is the messenger of Allah; and those who are with him are strong against Unbelievers, (but) compassionate amongst each other. Thou wilt see them bow and prostrate themselves (in prayer), seeking Grace from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. On their faces are their marks, (being) the traces of their prostration. This is their similitude in the Taurat; and their similitude in the Gospel is: like a seed which sends forth its blade, then makes it strong; it then becomes thick, and it stands on its own stem, (filling) the sowers with wonder and delight. As a result, it fills the Unbelievers with rage at them. Allah has promised those among them who believe and do righteous deeds forgiveness, and a great Reward.

(24) But how many generations before them did We destroy (for their sins),- stronger in power than they? Then did they wander through the land: was there any place of escape (for them)?

(25) Of a truth ye are stronger (than they) because of the terror in their hearts, (sent) by Allah. This is because they are men devoid of understanding.

(26) They will not fight you (even) together, except in fortified townships, or from behind walls. strong is their fighting (spirit) amongst themselves: thou wouldst think they were united, but their hearts are divided: that is because they are a people devoid of wisdom.

(27) And they opened the morning, strong in an (unjust) resolve.

(28) It is We Who created them, and We have made their joints strong; but, when We will, We can substitute the like of them by a complete change.

(29) Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord.
