(1) It has been made permissible for you the night preceding fasting to go to your wives [for sexual relations]. They are clothing for you and you are clothing for them. Allah knows that you used to deceive yourselves, so He accepted your repentance and forgave you. So now, have relations with them and seek that which Allah has decreed for you. And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]. Then complete the fast until the sunset. And do not have relations with them as long as you are staying for worship in the mosques. These are the limits [set by] Allah, so do not approach them. Thus does Allah make clear His ordinances to the people that they may become righteous.

(2) On the Day [some] faces will turn white and [some] faces will turn black. As for those whose faces turn black, [to them it will be said], "Did you disbelieve after your belief? Then taste the punishment for what you used to reject."

(3) And We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered black mud.

(4) And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "I will create a human being out of clay from an altered black mud.

(5) He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud."

(6) And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day.

(7) Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby fruits of varying colors? And in the mountains are tracts, white and red of varying shades and [some] extremely black.

(8) And on the Day of Resurrection you will see those who lied about Allah [with] their faces blackened. Is there not in Hell a residence for the arrogant?

(9) And a shade of black smoke,

(10) blackening the skins.
