(401) Lodge them where ye dwell, according to your wealth, and harass them not so as to straiten life for them. And if they are with child, then spend for them till they bring forth their burden. Then, if they give suck for you, give them their due payment and consult together in kindness; but if ye make difficulties for one another, then let some other woman give suck for him (the father of the child).

(402) O Prophet! Why bannest thou that which Allah hath made lawful for thee, seeking to please thy wives? And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

(403) Allah hath made lawful for you (Muslims) absolution from your oaths (of such a kind), and Allah is your Protector. He is the Knower, the Wise.

(404) And his kin that harboured him

(405) And lo! we had supposed that humankind and jinn would not speak a lie concerning Allah -

(406) And indeed (O Muhammad) individuals of humankind used to invoke the protection of individuals of the jinn, so that they increased them in revolt against Allah);

(407) And bear with patience what they utter, and part from them with a fair leave-taking.

(408) And show not favour, seeking wordly gain!

(409) Looking toward their Lord;

(410) A spring wherefrom the slaves of Allah drink, making it gush forth abundantly,
