(262) O ye who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance: In the hope that your Lord will remove from you your ills and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow,- the Day that Allah will not permit to be humiliated the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their Light will run forward before them and by their right hands, while they say, "Our Lord! Perfect our Light for us, and grant us Forgiveness: for Thou hast power over all things."

(263) Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion; and He over all things hath Power;-

(264) Do they not observe the birds above them, spreading their wings and folding them in? None can uphold them except (Allah) Most Gracious: Truly (Allah) Most Gracious: Truly it is He that watches over all things.

(265) Their eyes will be cast down,- ignominy will cover them; seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration, while they were whole, (and had refused).

(266) And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the Cities overthrown, committed habitual Sin.

(267) We, when the water (of Noah's Flood) overflowed beyond its limits, carried you (mankind), in the floating (Ark),

(268) Their eyes lowered in dejection,- ignominy covering them (all over)! such is the Day the which they are promised!

(269) "And every time I have called to them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they have (only) thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, grown obstinate, and given themselves up to arrogance.

(270) Truly the rising by night is most potent for governing (the soul), and most suitable for (framing) the Word (of Prayer and Praise).
