(11) And (it was a warning) when we told thee: Lo! thy Lord encompasseth mankind, and We appointed the sight which We showed thee as an ordeal for mankind, and (likewise) the Accursed Tree in the Qur'an. We warn them, but it increaseth them in naught save gross impiety.

(12) How many a community that dealt unjustly have We shattered, and raised up after them another folk!

(13) Every soul must taste of death, and We try you with evil and with good, for ordeal. And unto Us ye will be returned.

(14) Then evil was the consequence to those who dealt in evil, because they denied the revelations of Allah and made a mock of them.

(15) Lo! thus deal We with the guilty.

(16) Allah forbiddeth you not those who warred not against you on account of religion and drove you not out from your homes, that ye should show them kindness and deal justly with them. Lo! Allah loveth the just dealers.

(17) Leave Me (to deal) with those who give the lie to this pronouncement. We shall lead them on by steps from whence they know not.

(18) Leave Me to deal with the deniers, lords of ease and comfort (in this life); and do thou respite them awhile.

(19) Leave Me (to deal) with him whom I created lonely,

(20) Thus deal We ever with the guilty.
